UK government announces exemption on foreign profits

The UK government has at last confirmed a dividend exemption system for companies remitting foreign profits back into the country.

The new UK dividend exemption rules, announced in UK Chancellor Alistair Darling's pre-budget report speech to parliament, will come into effect from 2009.
